Soon, Windows 11 PCs and iPhones will be able to sync iCloud images.

Microsoft unveiled a tonne of striking hardware last night at its Surface-focused presentation. The business did, however, also reveal a sizable update that would please many Windows PC and iPhone consumers. It declared that the Photos program in Windows 11 will work with Apple's iCloud storage service. In essence, it means that after syncing data from iCloud, customers will be able to view iPhone images and movies on Windows PCs. Insider Program testers for Windows get access to the functionality.

Users previously had a number of options, but they weren't all flawless when it came to viewing iPhone images on a Windows PC. For instance, the iCloud for Windows software allows Windows users to obtain a copy of their iCloud Photos. However, the most recent innovation would make the experience much more fluid - comparable to what Mac users would enjoy.

The two corporations have been in conflict for years, despite the fact that the upgrade may appear insignificant. Microsoft used a series of advertisements to make the PC vs. Mac issue more well-known in the early 2000s. Microsoft's advertisement prompted Apple to respond with its "Get a Mac" campaign. Last year, when Microsoft was marketing its Surface devices and urging customers to stop using Macs since Windows PCs are superior for work and gaming, the fight heated up once more.

For more information on the update, CNET, citing Microsoft, states "The integration of messaging, calling, and photos directly to their Windows PC has allowed Windows customers with Android phones to experience that promise for the last few years, bringing the two most significant devices in their lives closer together. We're making it simpler than ever for users to use their Xbox and Windows devices to access their iPhone images and the entertainment they love from Apple."

Microsoft also announced that desktop Apple TV and Apple Music apps would be available on Windows PCs next year. On the Microsoft Store, users will be able to download the pair. Notably, the Apple Music app is now available to Xbox users.
